Why Cold Pressed?
Why Cold Pressed?
Organic seaweed has been used by growers for generations because of what it brings to soil and plants, not just nutrients but long-term biological support. Unlike heavily processed extracts, our cold-pressed seaweed preserves the full range of delicate natural compounds that plants and soil life respond to.
We gently press the seaweed mechanically, without high heat or strong chemicals, to conserve micronutrients, plant hormones and bioactive compounds. This process means plants interact with seaweed in its most complete, natural form. What does this mean for you? The product goes a lot further and makes a bigger impact for much longer. Many products labelled “seaweed feed” are chemically extracted or heated, which can degrade the very compounds that give seaweed its value.
Certified organic and made solely from sustainably harvested seaweed with no artificial additives or preservatives, this plant food reflects our commitment to garden wellbeing and environmental care.

Summer: Feeding your plants with our seaweed fertilizer through the summer promotes a healthier harvest, ensuring plants are sufficiently fuelled to produce flowers and fruits.
Autumn: As growth starts to slow, applications can be reduced from weekly to monthly.
Winter: During the winter, a seaweed feed helps to enrich your soil for the following season.

Seeds & Seedlings
Seeds & Seedlings
Soak your seeds in a weak concentration of The Shropshire Seaweed Company Organic Fertilizerand water (0.1%) for up to 12 hours before sowing. This will boost their germination by up to 80%. When transplanting seedings, dip their roots in a stronger seaweed extract solution (0.2%) to help their roots adjust to their new pot. Once the seedlings are three weeks old, they are ready for their first foliar feed. Again, use the 0.2% mix and mist them all over. Using seaweed at these three crucial stages lays the foundation for healthy and strong plants in the long-term.
